Podcaster, fashion influencer, and all-around meme, Kerwin Frost joins adidas for one of the most bizarre sneakers we’ve ever seen. This is Frost’s second sneaker with adidas, being that he announced the Superstar Superstuffed earlier this year.
It’s genuinely hard to put into words what’s been presented, but from the looks of it, this sneaker is a modern day Mr. Potato Head meets the adidas Forum Hi. The overall appearance looks like a horse shoe — no pun intended — with giant teeth on the toe cap and a dirty blonde ponytail that extends off the back. The tongue features “Kerwin Frost” branding that peeks through two googly-eyes laced to the sides of the eyestay. Finishing details include the adidas Three-Stripes in blue and a toy nose secured to the front of the laces.
While this sneaker comes as a surprise, it makes complete sense for Kerwin Frost, who is known for his eccentric style. Frost also happens to be close friends with Jeremy Scott, who shook up the sneaker landscape in 2011 with the adidas “JS Bear.” With Frost onboard and Scott just recently announcing the revival of his partnership with the Trefoil team, it seems that adidas is ready to fearlessly head into the future. Frost mentioned how important it is for him to push the boundaries and we love that adidas is willing to be along for the ride.
As of now, there’s no official info regarding the Kerwin Frost x adidas Forum Hi. It seems like they’re still in the early stages of getting everything together, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see this held off until 2022.
